Anyasin once met on the road with the goddess of cholera, who was returning from a village whose population she had greatly reduced.
– How many people have you “mowed”? The sannyasin asked her.
“Only ten,” she said.
– How so, – the sannyasin was surprised, – I heard that a hundred people died in the village.
“I took only ten, the rest died of fear,” cholera replied.
